Route 66

My first band, Route 66 formed in Sydney in the mid 70's. The original line-up was myself, John Collins (dec), Mark Fairhurst and John Gadsden - shortly to be joined by vocalist, Donna Tuckwell. The black and white pic to the left is a pic of us looking very serious!

We were a blues/rock outfit and we played up and down the east coast. Many line up changes ensued. We used to have a link to old band photos but it was maintained by my dear friend, John Collins who is no longer with us. I had to leave the pics up here though! John is in the colour photo above, playing a 1963 much modified Maton Fyrbyrd.

Electric Rose

My wife Catherine and I are lucky enough to enjoy making music together. We perform as the duo, Electric Rose at local cafes acoustically and we also enjoying doing electric party gigs. We always include the song Route 66 in our repertoire!

Premier Guitars

An innovative sales and storage concept, Premier Guitars, was created by John Spence, a well respected musician and entrepreneur of the Australian music scene. Connecting sellers with buyers. Consignment sales and instrument storage on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Wampler Pedals

No single element that I've changed in my own guitar rig over 35 years, has made as much difference to my sound and made me smile as consistently as the various Wampler Overdrive/Distortions that I've owned. Brian Wampler runs a small but dedicated company that make a huge variety of guitar effects pedals.

Jaykco Guitar Straps

Jaykco Guitar Straps are beautiful, comfortable and quirky all at once. I love them and have definitely had to buy more than one!
