My first band, Route 66 formed in Sydney in the mid 70's. The original line-up was myself, John Collins (dec), Mark Fairhurst and John Gadsden - shortly to be joined by vocalist, Donna Tuckwell. The black and white pic to the left is a pic of us looking very serious!
We were a blues/rock outfit and we played up and down the east coast. Many line up changes ensued. We used to have a link to old band photos but it was maintained by my dear friend, John Collins who is no longer with us. I had to leave the pics up here though! John is in the colour photo above, playing a 1963 much modified Maton Fyrbyrd.
My wife Catherine and I have enjoyed making music together for over 20 years. We perform as the duo, Electric Rose at local cafes acoustically, while also creating a vibe on electric for party gigs. We always include the song Route 66 in our repertoire (of course)!
I've been blown away by the unsurpassed quality of Fenech acoustic guitars and the incredible, enthusiastic attention to detail that Aaron exudes. My next acoustic will be a Fenech for sure!
No single element that I've changed in my own guitar rig over 35 years, has made as much difference to my sound and made me smile as consistently as the various Wampler Overdrive/Distortions that I've owned. Brian Wampler runs a small but dedicated company that make a huge variety of guitar effects pedals.

Jaykco Guitar Straps are beautiful, comfortable and quirky all at once. I love them and have definitely had to buy more than one!
